Project Showcase

Time To Kill

One of the first team projects I worked on was a Doom inspired game called Time To Kill in Unity, where I contributed to multiple aspects of level design and gameplay mechanics. I designed and implemented two distinct game sections: a vertical shaft area and a lava-filled horizontal zone. I also developed an insta-kill mechanic for lava hazards and scripted interactive elements such as trigger-based audio cues and lore-driven voice recordings. Additionally, I created a checkpoint system that preserved the player’s position and state upon respawn. I also worked on the character’s death animation, ensuring it played seamlessly with appropriate sound effects to enhance the gameplay experience.

Venture Time

My next major team project was a dungeon crawler game me and my classmates made within a month in Unity called Venture Time. Here I was responsible for implementing and integrating sound effects across various aspects of the game, including attacks, item pickups, and level transitions. I worked within Unity’s animation system to synchronize these sound effects with key moments in player and enemy animations, ensuring a seamless audio-visual experience. Additionally, I designed and implemented the mechanics for how players interact with chests to collect items, incorporating tailored sound effects to enhance immersion and feedback.

Hollow End

My final project was a team project within Unreal that was rogue-like wave based zombie shooter called Hollow End. During development, I was mainly responsible for implementing sound effects across all aspects of gameplay, including player actions, enemy interactions, and environmental audio. I developed a dynamic music system using a simple music box that continuously played a level’s soundtrack until all enemies in the area were defeated. Additionally, I created an NPC system with a specialized script that synchronized non-playable character functions with custom animations, enhancing the game’s overall immersion and interactivity.
